  "It will slow you down"

  Pros: Nice interface, quick updates

  Cons: Taxes system and makes surfing slow

  Summary: I downloaded the trial version and it brought surfing to a crawl. Even with LinkChecker disabled it was still really slow. An informal side-by-side comparison to my older laptop (running AVG 7.5 and Spyware Blaster) showed that the same page (Yahoo) was 30 seconds slower on a brand-new Dell desktop running AVG 8. I uninstalled AVG 8 and setup 7.5 with Spyware Blaster on the desktop and now it's smokin' fast. And, the latter setup is free.

  GuitarGuy99 is right, I currently have it installed on my system and web-surfing has slowed down. I decided to check out the forums to see if anyone else has this problem,or if it was my system that was causing the problem
