>> I'm Nicole Lee, Associate Editor for CNET.com and this is a First Look at the ZTE C79. A very slim, stylish phone from MetroPCS. Open the phone and you get a pretty nice display. Nothing too amazing, but it's pretty good for a phone of this price range. It's very easy to use menu interface and pretty colorful icons, as well. Underneath the display is the navigation array. You get the two soft keys as well as a dedicated music player key, which also doubles as the speakerphone key. There's also the regular keypad right here, kind of cheap plasticky feeling, but its' not too bad once you get used to it. Features of the phone include a 1.3-mwegapixel camera, as well as a music player. Nothing too amazing about the music player, but it does support your regular MP3 files. This also has a wireless web browser. It also has text and multimedia messaging and Bluetooth. However, the biggest drawback of the C79 in my opinion is that there is no voice command support, which is pretty surprising since most phones on the market do have voice dialling support. I'm Nicole Lee and this has been the ZTE C79 from MetroPCS. ^M00:01:07 [ Music ]
The good: The ZTE C79 is a slim and attractive flip phone with external music player keys, a microSD card slot, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and stereo Bluetooth. It also has good call quality.
The bad: The ZTE C79 doesn't support photo caller ID despite its color external display, and the C79 doesn't have voice command.
The bottom line: The ZTE C79 is a good midrange multimedia phone for MetroPCS customers, but the lack of voice command was a disappointment.
