Bonnie's got a new Sidekick...and it's not Brian Video Transcript

^B00:00:00

>> Cut and paste for the iPhone is here, kind of. A bag for a zippy airport experience, and Bonnie's got a new sidekick, and it isn't me. All that and more on this week's Crave. ^M00:00:10 [ Music ] ^M00:00:12 What's up, guys? Welcome to Crave. Everything you see here is on our Crave blog at crave.cnet.com. We've the got the Boom Cha.

>> I am here.

>> Cue the sound effect. [ Explosion ] Unh. I love that. It's always something new.

>> How are you doing?

>> I'm good, Stripe, how are you?

>> I'm good. Well, you call me Stripe. You call me Flash. What is it?

>> Well, I like them both. You're extra stripe-y today.

>> Oh, okay. What do you got for us?

>> The first thing I have is the T-Mobile Sidekick. Now, this is kind of like the Sidekick LX, but it's smaller and lighter. The cool thing about it is that you can customize your own shell.

>> So what does yours look like?

>> It looks like this, like a winner, like the USC Trojans.

>> Wait. What's that? Trojans?

>> Trojans. USC Trojans.

>> Now you guys now what side this girl's on. It's not...

>> The winning side.

>> All you UCLA people, you better start sending your emails and hating on Bonnie.

>> Hate? Don't -- you're always gonna hate on the winners, that's all.

>> Well, what are some of the features, I guess, in the phone that actually make it better? I used to be a Sidekick owner. I loved it.

>> Yes. Well, they've improved the screen a lot, so it's way clearer. And you can finally record and watch video on it.

>> Okay, awesome.

>> Yeah. What would you put on yours?

>> I don't know. Maybe a picture of myself.

>> I was thinking that. ^M00:01:14 [ Music ] ^M00:01:15

>> Now, the next thing we have on our Crave blog is what everyone has been talking about, cut and paste.

>> Yeah.

>> And a company called "Proximity," they have released kind of a trial, or just a preview of this application called "MagicPad."

>> Okay.

>> And it's like the notepad on the iPhone, but over the keyboard, they have this formatting bar, or this tool bar, that allows you to change the font, change the size of the text...

>> Cool.

>> ...change the color, and do copy and paste.

>> But I read that you can only -- you can't use it in all the apps. Is that right, right now?

>> Yeah, right now it's actually only specific to the MagicPad app, which, I guess, is lame. ^M00:01:47 [ Music ] ^M00:01:48

>> I have a virtual kind of reality treadmill that has a 720-degree projection screen and three projectors on top. So, you know, if it's rainy, you know, you can't run outside. You kind of simulate it, like you're running through the park.

>> You know, everyone that bought those, like, cross-country glider things, and those exercise machines, you never end up using them after a while. Well, I use the Bowflex.

>> Are you sure?

>> Just like that.

>> Yeah.

>> For those lats. ^M00:02:16 [ Music ] ^M00:02:17 Another thing is that we have our Crave trivia, but this time we know that a lot of people are wondering what is Apple gonna announce or release at their Earnings Report. They said, "Oh we have a new revolutionary product that you've never seen before." So we want you guys to tell us at drivingmecravy@cnet.com what you think it is. If you can do any Photoshop work...

>> That'd be awesome.

>> ...like drawings, hand sketches. I mean we'll show them here. We'll talk about it. And we'll tell you if we crave it or not.

>> Yeah.

>> So go ahead. Do that. It'll be lots of fun. And now it's time for...

>> Do Not Crave.

>> Mwa ha ha [phonetic]. ^M00:02:49 [ Music ] ^M00:02:51 Limited edition iPods started when Apple released the U2 iPod back in the day. But custom engravings have blown this category wide open. Now, take a look at our own CBS store. Go to their store, and what will you find? Well, you'll see a CSI engraved iPod, kind of cool. A Survivor one as well, which is kind of weird. And to make the collection complete, a limited edition Beverly Hills 90210 iPod Nano. Are the '90s cool again? Like, look at that thing. Now, not that I watched the show, but see, Dylan and Kelly, they were boyfriend and girlfriend. But Brandon and Brenda were brother and sister.

>> I'm not his girlfriend. I'm his sister.

>> Why are they holding each other exactly the same way? This is a 9021 hell no. And all I gotta say is Do Not Crave that iPod.

>> So, yeah.

>> Feeling it?

>> Not if they're holding each other like that.

>> It's like a romantic embrace.

>> It's like a prom, like [inaudible].

>> Yeah. It's kind of like -- we could even simulate it. But it wouldn't be nearly as awkward though.

>> You think?

>> Okay.

>> Yeah, Do Not Crave.

>> Do Not Crave, without a doubt. All right, guys, thanks for watching the show again. Later. ^M00:04:02 [ Music ]
