Buzz Report: How to get your girlfriend to answer her cell phone Video Transcript
Hi, I'm Molly Wood, and welcome to the Buzz Report. This week, NASA takes a leak,
MTV gets into MUSIC, and Scrabble is here to save us all. But first, it's the Gadget of the
Week.
The Gadget of the Week is my new vibrating Bluetooth bracelet. It's $50, from
ThinkGeek, and it pairs with your phone. Then, just like the name implies, it vibrates
when you get a phone call. Plus, it vibrates if you get too far away from your phone, to
remind you to bring it with you everywhere you go! This is pretty much custom-designed
for the woman in your life who never answers her phone because, "it was in my purse
and I didn't hear it"! My husband got it for me for my birthday, in fact.
Does ... this look like a leash to you? At all? It kind of does, doesn't it ... hmm ...
And now for the news. Nearly a week after its release, people are still STANDING IN
LINES to buy iPhones in the U.S., because the phones STILL have to be activated in
stores, because by god, if even one of those things got unlocked and got out into the wild
... man, it'd be airborne within days and then ... BOOM, it's "I am Legend" all over the
place. At least, that's the only explanation I can think of for this continuing insanity.
In other news this week, a LEAKED memo from a NASA contractor asked workers at
the JOHNSON Space Center to contribute urine every day for 10 days, to help test the
FACILITIES on the new Orion Space Capsule. NASA said the release of the memo was
a big, unfortunate accident. Ah, pee stories. What would I do without 'em.
MTV has announced that it will launch a new social Website to help people find new
music.
MTV was quick to point out that in the crowded field of music-related social
recommendations engines, like Last.fm and MySpace Music, THIS site is different,
because it'll feature songs that show up on MTV's shows. As opposed to the songs that
used to show up ... on MTV.
And finally, let's have a look at what's Clogging the Tubes! SCRABBLE! ON
FACEBOOK!
Thank goodness, you can FINALLY play a legitimate, licensed version of Scrabble on
Facebook! And it's WAY prettier, and it actually TELLS you what the little colored
squares mean instead of you just having to guess all the time like you do in Scrabulous.
Plus, you don't have all that guilt about playing that unauthorized, copyright infringing
Scrabulous! Oh, what's that? You didn't care and you thought the whole thing was stupid
and thanks, but no thanks, you're sticking with Scrabulous? Yeah. Me, too. This new one
is too SHINY.
I'm Molly Wood, and this has been the Buzz Report. Thanks for watching.
