>> Apple finally gets around to suing Psystar. Sony takes on the Apple TV with a new Playstation and sword fighting on the beach with your Wii.

>> It's Wednesday, July 16th, I'm Natali Del Conte, and it's time to get Loaded. ^M00:00:12 [ Music ] ^M00:00:15

>> Apple's been a little busy later but now that the iPhone 2 has launched the company can get around to other things like suing Psystar.

>> This is the company that's been selling the open computer, a MAC clone that runs OS 10. The open computer has been for sale for months but Apple is just now getting around to a lawsuit. This will be a fun one to watch though because it will set the precedence [assumed spelling] on whether or not Apple will ever become an open system. The Playstation is getting cheaper now too, right on the heels of the Xbox price cut. Sony made the announcement at E3 this week. The console is now a whopping 80 gigs, cost 399 dollars and launches in September. Why do you need 80 gigs? Well, because there's also a Playstation store now, which is a delivery service for movies and TV shows to rent or own on the PS3. And don't forget, it still has a blu-ray player, making it just about the ultimate gaming console, slash set-top [assumed spelling] box. Watch out Apple TV. Google Earth is starting to get layers of 3D models in certain cities across the US. A few months ago Google solicited help from local governments to add three-dimensional representatives of their cities in Google Earth. Those representations are now starting to pop up in Massachusetts, South Carolina, New York and more. Why do we care, other then the fact that it looks cool? Well, Google says that this will help virtual tourism and public engagement about urban development. To see for yourself, enable the 3D building player in Google earth. And to learn about submitting your city, go to www.earth.google.com/citiesin3D [assumed spelling]. Google is also struggling to keep it clean these days. The company launched Lively, their second life like Virtual world. But it's getting a little, well, Lively there. Apparently, some users have been adding some raunchy content that may have been okay in Second Life but will not fly with Google. The company addressed this in a group page this week saying quote, When we become aware of sex rooms that violate our terms of service, we'll work to remove them, end quote. So if you're into Lively for whatever reason, keep it clean people, keep it clean. Logitech released a new wireless steering wheel for the Playstation. It's called the Driving Force Wireless. It doesn't have the gearshift and gas and brake pedal like the Driving Force GT. But it has built in gas and break gas controls. It's also cheaper. It's a hundred dollars. And works with the PS2 and with the PS3. Nintendo announced a second Wii accessory this week, and it's called WiiSpeak. It sits on top of your TV and lets you have group conversations with other Wii Players in your parade. It's bundled with the game Animal Crossing, but [inaudible] raises an interesting question; how will it filter out game sounds? Nintendo also followed up Wii Sports with a new edition called Wii Sports Resorts. It's a beach themed game and it will include events like Frisbee, Jet Skiing and sword fighting. When's the last time you did sword fighting on a beach? CNBC is reporting that South Korea's SK telecom is in talks to buy Sprint Nextel. There are not a lot of details about this yet, but CNBC did say that it will be a few weeks away and involve private equity firms for financing, since SK telecom's market value is about half that of Sprint's 22.6 billion dollars. It's no secret that Sprint has struggled later but they did have a pretty, big hit with the Instinct. And they've got the new Trio, plus they're still the third largest carrier here in the US. We'll be sure to keep our eye on this story. AOL is launching a personal financing site called WalletPop this week. It's kind of a money and lifestyle site rather then just hard financials. You can tell that AOL is going more after this kind of personal engagement site rather then just hard news. In July the company launched www.bigdownload.com, which is a site that targets PC gamers. WalletPop has more personal money features, in addition to money trackers and all the usual financial info. Before we wrap up today, I want to take a moment to commiserate [assumed spelling] the passing of Olive Riley, the woman who was known as the world's oldest blogger. Riley was a 108-years-old and she'd been blogging since early 2007. She passed on Saturday, making Marie Amelia from Spain the new oldest blogger. Riley blogged about her long and full life, and she also liked to post videos of herself singing on YouTube. I always found them very sweet and inspiring in a way. Thankfully, she leaves that legacy behind. You can still find her blog at www.allaboutolive.com.au Those are all your headlines for today, but I will be back tomorrow with more. Thank you for watching.
