Mailbag: How to tweak your new HDTV Video Transcript
Hey, everyone, I'm Molly Wood, and welcome to the CNET
Mailbag, the show
where we take your feedback about the stuff we do here
at CNET.
First, I got some ART in the mail! Sheila ... or shwala
... I think
Sheila, from Savannah, sent this amazing card where she
illustrated some
of the things we've talked about on various shows or
podcasts! And they
are AMAZING! Check this out!
You'll have to listen to Gadgettes to get the Janis
Chicken thing.
Ok, to the email. Steven sent this in from his iPhone
...
You should have cnettv for iPhone the rss reader is
cool but dose not
load how bout a cnettv for iPhone love the show
See, that's my big complaint about the iPhone. The
keyboard. If you have
to go to a different screen to find the period, you're
never going to
use any periods in your sentences. ANYWAY, Steven,
you're going to love
this! iphone.cnet.com.
ALL the cool CNETTY goodness, plus, CNET TV videos.
You're SO welcome.
Ok, next up, Guy wrote in and said:
I just bought the Samsung LN32 A450, and just saw your
review of it. I
love the picture out of the box, but would love to know
the exact
settings you guys used to get what you thought was the
best picture.
Well, Guy, here's David Katzmeier with a response.
In other CNET suggestions, Troll wrote in and said:
cars suck, how about some real high performance
hardware? ZX-14,
Hyabusa, Yam 1300, even a honda
Once I figured out what those were, I asked Brian
Cooley, in an email:
Hey, any chance we'd ever branch out into motorcycles?
And can I use
your answer in Mailbag?
And he replied:
"Motorcycles suck." No, just kidding. He actually
said:
"Um, yeah, but remember, we focus on cabin tech. That
gets a little
thin on two wheels. There's only so much I can say
about the fact the
speedometer is illuminated and the stereo is, well, not
there."
Ok, and finally, we got some awesome HATER MAIL this
week. First up,
some thoughts about my wardrobe:
On the April 24th Today in Tech History piece, Molly
wore something that
resembled a cross between a ninja suit, a hospital
scrub and the
Inspector Gadget trench coat. Please tell her that
stuff like this is
why she makes my day. HA! She kills me.
Love,
The Toecutter
That might not be hater mail, actually, I don't know.
It made me laugh.
But THIS email ... Kent German passed along some mail
he got from MG
about his column on 10 things you didn't know you could
do with your
cell phone. It says:
Thank you for explaining how my camera phone can be
used to take photos,
but:
With the job market as difficult as it is, I am hoping
that they are
only paying you a few dollars to write what you do.
Not all of us are
fifth graders with Attention Deficit Disorder...
They pay me only a few dollars a day, but I'm working
my a** off as an
educator, 11 hours a day. Take it up a notch on your
next article
please.
"other users may find new ways to use their cell phone
that they didn't
know before" - yes, but my paternal grandmother will be
85 next month,
and she: "has all this down".
Sincerely,
MG
Nice one, MG, love the tone, especially. You'll be
happy to know we pay
Kent exactly what we think he's worth ... which is A
LOT.
And that about does it for this week. Keep that
feedback coming.
Mailbag@cnet.com, or send me a postcard. 235 2nd St.,
San Francisco, CA,
94105. See you next time.
